One of my favorite places to do my grocery shopping! Always great fresh produce! The bakery items are plentiful and the deli is stocked! Deli meat is a little pricy, but good selection. Great selection of organic produce and frozen items, as well as a decent selection of other items! I love the way this store is set up, everything is set up the way it should be. Love that there is a Starbucks in this store! Always have a great experience with the cashiers and other staff.

Love my stop & shop. Friendly people, always clean. I love that they have little directory signs hanging at the end of most aisles to easily find pretty much everything.

Having lived in the area for over 12 years, I have experienced all of the area Stop & Shops. For kimchi, I need to go over to Route 9, get the one in the soft package not the glass jar, too much sugar! For more of a small town feel, go to Hyde Park, a little more expensive, but I think a smaller store has to be. But this store is my favorite. It combines the best of the other two. It is outside of the busy downtown mainstream, and is a relaxing experience after a cup of coffee at Panera Bread! I usually don't need my "special quarter" to unlock a cart, and I can fuel up if I need to. Just a good experience.

No problems, very convenient for me being handicapped. It lets me keep some independence. Worker put bags in trunk carefully, so there were no ripped bags. Love this service!

Overall selection at this store is by far one of the best I have been to. The only thing I wish they carried was the assortment of flavored cottage cheese by good culture

So here's what I like about Stop & Shop. 1st, they got products, which if you'll ask me, it's pretty darn important to have products in a supermarket. 2nd, they have MORE THAN ONE ITEM OF EACH PRODUCT which is ssoooo smart! this can easily eliminate the aisle-wars. 3rd reason (and my sister would love this the most) there are lots of fresh ingredients which can help you prepare any meal you wish.

This Stop & Shop location is hands-down the best one in Poughkeepsie, and every visit reminds me why it stands out above the rest. From the moment you walk in, you can see the difference: the store is bright, clean, well-organized, and fully stocked in a way that makes shopping smooth and stress-free. The aisles are wide, the displays are neat, and everything is easy to find — whether you’re running in for a quick item or doing a full grocery haul. The produce section is always fresh and beautifully arranged, and the quality here is consistently better than many other stores in the area. The meat and seafood departments also deserve credit for offering great choices at fair prices. Even the bakery looks amazing every time, with fresh items out and ready to go. But what really puts this location over the top is the staff. Every employee I’ve interacted with has been friendly, helpful, and genuinely willing to assist. You can tell they care about customer service and take pride in keeping the store running smoothly. The cashiers are quick, the self-checkout area is monitored well, and the managers keep everything operating like a well-run team. Shopping here is simply easier and more enjoyable than any other grocery store around. This Stop & Shop sets the standard for Poughkeepsie, and it deserves every bit of this 5-star rating.
